Have I done any good?

I have been reading an article in the Ensign (a magazine my church puts out) about the man we believe to be the prophet. It is about his life and the good he has done and the fact that he is always thinking of others. He says didn't have the scriptures read to him when he was young, but his parents lived them. I have been thinking about this article a lot. I would love to be remembered like President Monson as a person who went about doing good. I have been taught since I was young to care for others and be compassionate, so being more so would not be an unpleasant stretch for me. I am HORRIBLE at reading the scriptures, especially to the kids, but I bet if they could see me living them, they would learn a lot about who Christ is.
So, I am going to start at home. Because that is the hardest place for me to be compassionate, tolerant and Christlike. Silly, huh? But that is where I will start. What an awesome blessing it is to have modern day prophets to lead by example and to let us know the will of God.
If you see me ask me how it is going, I always need someone to be accountable to.

Adventures in mealtime

It has been hard trying to find food that interests Cameron. Presentation amd my attitude are a huge part of it. We have been in a slump lately, he just wants bread and cereal, and I am running out of ideas. Today I decided to try a few new things. I fried tofu and used a ghost shaped muffin tin to serve up the lunch. I also gave him a toothpick to eat with. He was so excited to eat his cheese (squash) soup, tofu, gluten free pretzels and orange slices. I have a happy boy. The picture is blurry because he is eating so fast.
Now time to figure out dinner........

Recent busy-ness

We went to the beach, but that was afraid of the water and the birds and did not like the sand. She spent all of her time sitting in the stroller but she is very happy, unless a seagel got within 20 feet of her. Then she screamed like a horror movie scream. The other kids spent a lot of time chasing seagulls for her.
We went to place called Rita's for italian ice. Bev is a huge fan.....shocker. That girl loves sweets.
She loved Ryan's birthday party. She loved to wear the hat and eat ice cream and cake again not a shocker.
