Amsterdam Day 77: Atlanta Day 1: Nollywood

I have to travel back to Atlanta several times a year for work. This time in the flight, I watched my first Nollywood film. It's like Bollywood, an Indian Hollywood type of film, but this one is a Nigerian.   Apparently Nigeria is a huge center for African films. All the good Africa films are filmed in Nigeria. After Hollywood, and Bombay (Bollywood), Nigeria is a Mecca for international films. 

The movie I watched is "30 Days in Atlanta" which was a Nigerian interpretation of a tourist visit to Atlanta. All in all it was a pretty entertaining film. It was definitely worth the 2 hours I was forced to watch movies in the airplane. Would I watch it in the movie theater? No. But was it worth it to watch it in the plane when I had nothing else to do? Yes. It was a pretty entertaining movie. Does it make we want to watch more Nigerian films? Probably not. Next on the watching list as I fly over Iceland is Jurassic Work. Now that is an entertaining movie.
