Amsterdam Day 20: Charlie and his Bike, Again

Charlie still loves his bike. Whenever we need to go somewhere serious (some place that would take way too long or was too dangerous if he rode himself) we have to fight to get him in the seat behind Jaimee. Yesterday we took a trip to the big forest nearby and he wanted to ride his bike. We figured we would let him ride his own bike for the first little bit and then put his bike on the back of my bike. That little guy ended up going almost 2 kilometers all by himself before we made him get on the bigger bike. He is getting a lot faster but he tends to, squirrel. I'm sorry. What was I saying?  Oh yea, he tends to, squirrel. He likes to go up people's driveways. He likes to pretend crash. And he likes to get trapped by bushes. It really tends to slow things down. Here is the latest video. Does it seem like he is doing much better than less than a week ago?  He may be riding a bike with pedals by Christmas. Well at least we have a goal. And we still need to beat those twins, Otto and Jacob, next door.

And just to let you know how Charlie is reall doing, take a look at this picture. He fell off a small brick wall between the wall and a bench and got a pretty good bruise. He has a matching bruise on the back of his head and his eye is blackening.
