This is a sign that was left in the men's room at work.
We have a debate on the actual meaning. Some think, and I personally like this one, that it is directed to our Senior Vice President and that he does not know or decides not to flush the toilet. But since he does not speak Dutch, I don't think that is the real reason for the sign. It sure is funny to think that it would be directed to him though.
Much more likely is that the s.v.p. is short hand for s'il vous plaît and that the Dutch simply have adopted the French in this situation.
